Amssco Platinum City.
www.amsscoplatinumcity.com

Platinum City is a new residential estate built by Amssco. They wanted a site where prospective buyers could have all the information they needed to make a decision as well as an application form they could fill out online or print out and bring with them to an open house. The initial design was flash based and was quite heavy. Amssco decided they wanted a light site with css and no flash. They wanted a site that would download quickly but that would also showcase the beauty of the homes.

Motherland Krooks.

Motherland Krooks is a fashion company that makes clothes with African themes. This company has become a cult favorite of entertainers especially musicians. When I met the founder Seyi, the brand was gaining popularity purely through word of mouth. He wanted me to create an online presence for him. From a blog to instore display posters and everything in between, we talked about how best to build up the Motherland Krooks brand.

We had a lot of fun at the photoshoot and everyone was thrilled with the pictures. So stay tuned and keep your eyes out for this budding company. Check out my MK T-shirt. I love the colors!

Voanda Flyers.
www.voandang.com

Voanda is a global mobile content provider that's gearing up to launch in Nigeria. They commissioned me to design a series of flyers for their national campaign. The flyers will be the first phase of advertising used to launch the Voanda branch in Nigeria. They asked me not to use pictures of people or animals, so I made the focus the copy and chose colors to convey the right mood.

Move 'N Groove Kids.
www.movengroovekids.com

Move 'N Groove Kids is a dance and exercise video produced by KSK:Studios. While working there, I redesigned the site for the first time in five or six years to promote the release of two new volumes. This project was fun because I was on set for the production of volumes 2 and 3. I must say the kids were a blast to work with! Even the class trouble maker was adorable.

Dar al Islam.
www.daralislam.org

Dar al Islam is a non profit organization whose goal is to build bridges with the American community and among the Muslims of America. Their Marketing Director was a friend of mine and she asked me to design some layouts to present to the board. Although the final design I worked on was rather different, this design was my favorite.

Associated Photography.

Associated Photography is a great studio in WV. I did my internship with them in 2003 and built their website. I learnt quite a few neat photography and lighting tricks while working there. I also learned a lot about flash while designing their site. Steve the owner is a great guy, and so is his wife Sereda. In fact the studio is a family run business and it has that small town charm. I had fun at work everyday and everyone was all very sweet especially Honey!! I still drop by and visit them whenever I'm in town. If you're ever in Princeton, WV, be sure to check them out.

D.J Bumgarner.
www.nusrahwali.com/dj

D.J Bumgarner was a student at my school with a great voice. He loved to sing, and wanted to promote his music and career, and I loved designing websites so I designed 2 sites for him and his band. He's currently in Florida and still singing. If you want to check out his music, be sure to visit Purevolume. If you leave him a comment be sure to tell him to sign up for American Idol, I think he'd do great.

Sabrine.
www.nusrahwali.com/sabrine

Sabrine is a talented Indian-American singer, songwriter. She's also one of my very first clients. We grew together artistically. While she grew musically and lyrically, I grew graphically. She was a very patient and understanding client, I wish all my clients were like that! I learned a lot, made a tonne of mistakes, and learnt some more. She's currently a Public Relations whiz, you should check out her company Blu Lotus Pr on Facebook and also her website Celebrity Craving.

Treacherous Roommate.
www.nusrahwali.com/roommates

When I saw Lord of The Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring, I was so inspired that I wanted to make films. At that point I was mainly a writer and entered my scripts in competitions but this made me want to take another step in story telling and not just be the writer, but be the one who directs the story as well. I reasoned that if Peter Jackson could direct a movie as complicated as LOTR, then I could certainly direct a feature length. I wrote a 78 page script in one day and held auditions the same week, and Treacherous Roommate began shooting the week after. It was a very interesting time in my life, never have I been more focused or dedicated. There was a fire on set, when the lights set a curtain on fire, and issues with some of my crew, but all in all, it was a great experience. I shot at the mall, at a restaurant, on the road and everything else on campus. We even had a car stunt. I not only learned to direct, but to promote, market, edit, collaborate and manage. While the film itself is nowhere near being oscar worthy, for me it was a personal triumph and I made some great friends. The actors gave me their very best! And people surprised me by how much they rooted for the film, and offered their support. My special thanks go to Kara Lewis, Aaron Ferguson, Krista Carter, Islam Wali and the late Mr. Karl Bean.

Office of Multicultural Affairs (Concord University).
www.nusrahwali.com/ma

In college the International Students Club was the best place to hangout. Students from all over the world stopping by in between classes, joking, studying, making plans or eating lunch. We had banquets each year with international cuisine and national dances and costumes. I had a blast, so it was a no brainer when our adviser asked me to design a site for the department and the invitations for the International Banquet.
